Suvla and the Kirech Tepe

move your mouse over the picture to go back to 1915

The Suvla area, at the northern side of the Peninsula is almost uninhabited : apart from some fishermen and local shepherds who have built a few huts where they stay during the summer season, hardly any visitors come here. In 1915, the area was bustling with activity, as can be seen here on North Beach near Suvla Point, with the Kiretch Tepe hills in the background.
